The Fruits of Initiative
“စတ္တာရောမေ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလာ သန္တော သံဝိဇ္ဇမာနာ လောကသ္မိံ၊ ကတမေ စတ္တာရော?
“These four people are found in the world. What four?
ဥဋ္ဌာနဖလူပဇီဝီ န ကမ္မဖလူပဇီဝီ,
One who lives off the fruit of initiative, but not deeds;
ကမ္မဖလူပဇီဝီ န ဥဋ္ဌာနဖလူပဇီဝီ,
one who lives off the fruit of deeds, but not initiative;
ဥဋ္ဌာနဖလူပဇီဝီ စေဝ ကမ္မဖလူပဇီဝီ စ,
one who lives off the fruit of both deeds and initiative;
နေဝ ဥဋ္ဌာနဖလူပဇီဝီ န ကမ္မဖလူပဇီဝီ—
one who lives off the fruit of neither initiative nor deeds.
ဣမေ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, စတ္တာရော ပုဂ္ဂလာ သန္တော သံဝိဇ္ဇမာနာ လောကသ္မိန်”တိ၊
These are the four people found in the world.”
