“စတ္တာရောမေ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလာ သန္တော သံဝိဇ္ဇမာနာ လောကသ္မိံ၊ ကတမေ စတ္တာရော?
“Bhikkhus, these four people are found in the world. What four?
ဣဓ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဧကစ္စဿ ပုဂ္ဂလဿ ဩရမ္ဘာဂိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ ဟောန္တိ, ဥပပတ္တိပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ ဟောန္တိ, ဘဝပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ ဟောန္တိ၊
One person hasn’t given up the lower fetters, the fetters for getting reborn, or the fetters for getting a continued existence.
ဣဓ ပန, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဧကစ္စဿ ပုဂ္ဂလဿ ဩရမ္ဘာဂိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ ဟောန္တိ, ဥပပတ္တိပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ ဟောန္တိ, ဘဝပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ ဟောန္တိ၊
One person has given up the lower fetters, but not the fetters for getting reborn, or the fetters for getting a continued existence.

ကတမဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလဿ ဩရမ္ဘာဂိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ, ဥပပတ္တိပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ, ဘဝပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ? သကဒါဂါမိဿ၊ ဣမဿ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလဿ ဩရမ္ဘာဂိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ, ဥပပတ္တိပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ, ဘဝပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ၊
What person hasn’t given up the lower fetters, the fetters for getting reborn, or the fetters for getting a continued existence? A once-returner. This is the person who hasn’t given up the lower fetters, the fetters for getting reborn, or the fetters for getting a continued existence.
ကတမဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလဿ ဩရမ္ဘာဂိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ, ဥပပတ္တိပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ, ဘဝပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ? ဥဒ္ဓံသောတဿ အကနိဋ္ဌဂါမိနော၊ ဣမဿ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလဿ ဩရမ္ဘာဂိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ, ဥပပတ္တိပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ, ဘဝပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ၊
What person has given up the lower fetters, but not the fetters for getting reborn, or the fetters for getting a continued existence? One heading upstream, going to the Akaniṭṭha realm.
ကတမဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလဿ ဩရမ္ဘာဂိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ, ဥပပတ္တိပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ, ဘဝပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ? အန္တရာပရိနိဗ္ဗာယိဿ၊ ဣမဿ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလဿ ဩရမ္ဘာဂိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ, ဥပပတ္တိပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ, ဘဝပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ အပ္ပဟီနာနိ၊
What person has given up the lower fetters and the fetters for getting reborn, but not the fetters for getting a continued existence? One extinguished between one life and the next.
ကတမဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလဿ ဩရမ္ဘာဂိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ, ဥပပတ္တိပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ, ဘဝပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ? အရဟတော၊ ဣမဿ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလဿ ဩရမ္ဘာဂိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ, ဥပပတ္တိပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ, ဘဝပဋိလာဘိယာနိ သံယောဇနာနိ ပဟီနာနိ၊
What person has given up the lower fetters, the fetters for getting reborn, and the fetters for getting a continued existence? A perfected one.
ဣမေ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, စတ္တာရော ပုဂ္ဂလာ သန္တော သံဝိဇ္ဇမာနာ လောကသ္မိန်”တိ၊
