1. With Verses

သမာဓိသုတ္တ

Samādhi

“တိဿော ဣမာ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဝေဒနာ၊ ကတမာ တိဿော?

“Bhikkhus, there are these three feelings. What three?

သုခါ ဝေဒနာ, ဒုက္ခာ ဝေဒနာ, အဒုက္ခမသုခါ ဝေဒနာ—ဣမာ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, တိဿော ဝေဒနာတိ၊

Pleasant, painful, and neutral feeling. These are the three feelings.

သမာဟိတော သမ္ပဇာနော, သတော ဗုဒ္ဓဿ သာဝကော; ဝေဒနာ စ ပဇာနာတိ, ဝေဒနာနဉ္စ သမ္ဘဝံ၊

Stilled, aware, a mindful disciple of the Buddha understands feelings, the cause of feelings,

ယတ္ထ စေတာ နိရုဇ္ဈန္တိ, မဂ္ဂဉ္စ ခယဂါမိနံ; ဝေဒနာနံ ခယာ ဘိက္ခု, နိစ္ဆာတော ပရိနိဗ္ဗုတော”တိ၊

where they cease, and the path that leads to their ending. With the ending of feelings, a bhikkhu is hungerless, extinguished.”
