13. Abbreviated Texts Beginning with Greed

“ရာဂဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အဘိညာယ ဆ ဓမ္မာ ဘာဝေတဗ္ဗာ၊ ကတမေ ဆ? ဒဿနာနုတ္တရိယံ, သဝနာနုတ္တရိယံ, လာဘာနုတ္တရိယံ, သိက္ခာနုတ္တရိယံ, ပါရိစရိယာနုတ္တရိယံ, အနုဿတာနုတ္တရိယံ၊ ရာဂဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အဘိညာယ ဣမေ ဆ ဓမ္မာ ဘာဝေတဗ္ဗာ”တိ၊

“For insight into greed, six things should be developed. What six? The unsurpassable seeing, listening, acquisition, training, service, and recollection. For insight into greed, these six things should be developed.”

“ရာဂဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အဘိညာယ ဆ ဓမ္မာ ဘာဝေတဗ္ဗာ၊ ကတမေ ဆ? ဗုဒ္ဓါနုဿတိ, ဓမ္မာနုဿတိ, သင်္ဃာနုဿတိ, သီလာနုဿတိ, စာဂါနုဿတိ, ဒေဝတာနုဿတိ၊ ရာဂဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အဘိညာယ ဣမေ ဆ ဓမ္မာ ဘာဝေတဗ္ဗာ”တိ၊

“For insight into greed, six things should be developed. What six? The recollection of the Buddha, the teaching, the Saṅgha, ethics, generosity, and the deities. For insight into greed, these six things should be developed.”

“ရာဂဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အဘိညာယ ဆ ဓမ္မာ ဘာဝေတဗ္ဗာ၊ ကတမေ ဆ? အနိစ္စသညာ, အနိစ္စေ ဒုက္ခသညာ, ဒုက္ခေ အနတ္တသညာ, ပဟာနသညာ, ဝိရာဂသညာ, နိရောဓသညာ၊ ရာဂဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အဘိညာယ ဣမေ ဆ ဓမ္မာ ဘာဝေတဗ္ဗာ”တိ၊

“For insight into greed, six things should be developed. What six? The perception of impermanence, the perception of suffering in impermanence, the perception of not-self in suffering, the perception of giving up, the perception of fading away, and the perception of cessation. For insight into greed, these six things should be developed.”

“ရာဂဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပရိညာယ …ပေ… ပရိက္ခယာယ … ပဟာနာယ … ခယာယ … ဝယာယ … ဝိရာဂါယ … နိရောဓာယ … စာဂါယ … ပဋိနိဿဂ္ဂါယ ဆ ဓမ္မာ ဘာဝေတဗ္ဗာ”၊

“For the complete understanding of greed … complete ending … giving up … ending … vanishing … fading away … cessation … giving away … letting go of greed these six things should be developed.”

“ဒေါသဿ …ပေ… မောဟဿ … ကောဓဿ … ဥပနာဟဿ … မက္ခဿ … ပဠာသဿ … ဣဿာယ … မစ္ဆရိယဿ … မာယာယ … သာဌေယျဿ … ထမ္ဘဿ … သာရမ္ဘဿ … မာနဿ … အတိမာနဿ … မဒဿ … ပမာဒဿ အဘိညာယ …ပေ… ပရိညာယ … ပရိက္ခယာယ … ပဟာနာယ … ခယာယ … ဝယာယ … ဝိရာဂါယ … နိရောဓာယ … စာဂါယ … ပဋိနိဿဂ္ဂါယ …ပေ… ဣမေ ဆ ဓမ္မာ ဘာဝေတဗ္ဗာ”တိ၊

“Of hate … delusion … anger … hostility … disdain … contempt … jealousy … stinginess … deceitfulness … deviousness … obstinacy … aggression … conceit … arrogance … vanity … for insight into negligence … complete understanding … complete ending … giving up … ending … vanishing … fading away … cessation … giving away … letting go of negligence these six things should be developed.”

ဣဒမဝေါစ ဘဂဝါ၊ အတ္တမနာ တေ ဘိက္ခူ ဘဂဝတော ဘာသိတံ အဘိနန္ဒုန္တိ၊

That is what the Buddha said. Satisfied, the bhikkhus approved what the Buddha said.

ရာဂပေယျာလံ နိဋ္ဌိတံ၊

ဆက္ကနိပါတပါဠိ နိဋ္ဌိတာ၊
