They Send Her Away
“បញ្ចិមានិ, ភិក្ខវេ, មាតុគាមស្ស ពលានិ។ កតមានិ បញ្ច?
“Bhikkhus, there are these five powers of a female. What five?
រូបពលំ, ភោគពលំ, ញាតិពលំ, បុត្តពលំ, សីលពលំ។
Attractiveness, wealth, relatives, children, and ethical behavior.
រូបពលេន ច, ភិក្ខវេ, មាតុគាមោ សមន្នាគតោ ហោតិ, ន ច សីលពលេន, នាសេន្តេវ នំ, កុលេ ន វាសេន្តិ។
If a female has the power of attractiveness but not that of ethical behavior, the family will send her away, they won’t accommodate her.
រូបពលេន ច, ភិក្ខវេ, មាតុគាមោ សមន្នាគតោ ហោតិ, ភោគពលេន ច, ន ច សីលពលេន, នាសេន្តេវ នំ, កុលេ ន វាសេន្តិ។
If a female has the powers of attractiveness and wealth but not that of ethical behavior, the family will send her away, they won’t accommodate her.
រូបពលេន ច, ភិក្ខវេ, មាតុគាមោ សមន្នាគតោ ហោតិ, ភោគពលេន ច, ញាតិពលេន ច, ន ច សីលពលេន, នាសេន្តេវ នំ, កុលេ ន វាសេន្តិ។
