Giving Up Desire

သာဝတ္ထိနိဒါနံ၊

At Sāvatthī.

“ရူပေ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ယော ဆန္ဒော ယော ရာဂေါ ယာ နန္ဒီ ယာ တဏှာ, တံ ပဇဟထ၊ ဧဝံ တံ ရူပံ ပဟီနံ ဘဝိဿတိ ဥစ္ဆိန္နမူလံ တာလာဝတ္ထုကတံ အနဘာဝင်္ကတံ အာယတိံ အနုပ္ပါဒဓမ္မံ၊

“Bhikkhus, you should give up any desire, greed, relishing, and craving for form. Thus that form will be given up, cut off at the root, made like a palm stump, obliterated, and unable to arise in the future.

ဝေဒနာယ …ပေ… သညာယ … သင်္ခါရေသု … ဝိညာဏေ ယော ဆန္ဒော ယော ရာဂေါ ယာ နန္ဒီ ယာ တဏှာ, တံ ပဇဟထ၊ ဧဝံ တံ ဝိညာဏံ ပဟီနံ ဘဝိဿတိ ဥစ္ဆိန္နမူလံ တာလာဝတ္ထုကတံ အနဘာဝင်္ကတံ အာယတိံ အနုပ္ပါဒဓမ္မန်”တိ၊

You should give up any desire, greed, relishing, and craving for feeling … perception … functioning patterns … consciousness. Thus that consciousness will be given up, cut off at the root, made like a palm stump, obliterated, and unable to arise in the future.”
