අසප්පුරිසදානසුත්ත

Gifts of a Bad Person

“පඤ්චිමානි, භික්ඛවේ, අසප්පුරිසදානානි. කතමානි පඤ්ච? අසක්කච්චං දේති, අචිත්තීකත්වා දේති, අසහත්ථා දේති, අපවිද්ධං දේති, අනාගමනදිට්ඨිකෝ දේති. ඉමානි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, පඤ්ච අසප්පුරිසදානානි.

“Bhikkhus, there are these five gifts of a bad person. What five? They give carelessly. They give thoughtlessly. They don’t give with their own hand. They give the dregs. They give without consideration for consequences. These are the five gifts of a bad person.

පඤ්චිමානි, භික්ඛවේ, සප්පුරිසදානානි. කතමානි පඤ්ච? සක්කච්චං දේති, චිත්තීකත්වා දේති, සහත්ථා දේති, අනපවිද්ධං දේති, ආගමනදිට්ඨිකෝ දේති. ඉමානි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, පඤ්ච සප්පුරිසදානානී”ති.

There are these five gifts of a good person. What five? They give carefully. They give thoughtfully. They give with their own hand. They don’t give the dregs. They give with consideration for consequences. These are the five gifts of a good person.”
