အရိယမဂ္ဂသုတ္တ

The Noble Path

“စတ္တာရိမာနိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မာနိ မယာ သယံ အဘိညာ သစ္ဆိကတွာ ပဝေဒိတာနိ၊ ကတမာနိ စတ္တာရိ?

“Bhikkhus, I declare these four kinds of deeds, having realized them with my own insight. What four?

    အတ္ထိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မံ ကဏှံ ကဏှဝိပါကံ;

    There are dark deeds with dark results;

အတ္ထိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မံ သုက္ကံ သုက္ကဝိပါကံ;

bright deeds with bright results;

အတ္ထိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မံ ကဏှသုက္ကံ ကဏှသုက္ကဝိပါကံ;

dark and bright deeds with dark and bright results; and

အတ္ထိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မံ အကဏှအသုက္ကံ အကဏှအသုက္ကဝိပါကံ ကမ္မက္ခယာယ သံဝတ္တတိ၊

neither dark nor bright deeds with neither dark nor bright results, which lead to the ending of deeds.

ကတမဉ္စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မံ ကဏှံ ကဏှဝိပါကံ? ဣဓ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဧကစ္စော သဗျာဗဇ္ဈံ ကာယသင်္ခါရံ အဘိသင်္ခရောတိ …ပေ… ဣဒံ ဝုစ္စတိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မံ ကဏှံ ကဏှဝိပါကံ၊

And what are dark deeds with dark results? It’s when someone creates hurtful habitual functioning patterns of the body, speech, and mind. These are called dark deeds with dark results.

ကတမဉ္စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မံ သုက္ကံ သုက္ကဝိပါကံ? ဣဓ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဧကစ္စော အဗျာဗဇ္ဈံ ကာယသင်္ခါရံ အဘိသင်္ခရောတိ …ပေ… ဣဒံ ဝုစ္စတိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မံ သုက္ကံ သုက္ကဝိပါကံ၊

And what are bright deeds with bright results? It’s when someone creates pleasing habitual functioning patterns of the body, speech, and mind. These are called bright deeds with bright results.

ကတမဉ္စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မံ ကဏှသုက္ကံ ကဏှသုက္ကဝိပါကံ? ဣဓ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဧကစ္စော သဗျာဗဇ္ဈမ္ပိ အဗျာဗဇ္ဈမ္ပိ ကာယသင်္ခါရံ အဘိသင်္ခရောတိ …ပေ… ဣဒံ ဝုစ္စတိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မံ ကဏှသုက္ကံ ကဏှသုက္ကဝိပါကံ၊

And what are dark and bright deeds with dark and bright results? It’s when someone creates both hurtful and pleasing habitual functioning patterns of the body, speech, and mind. These are called dark and bright deeds with dark and bright results.

ကတမဉ္စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မံ အကဏှအသုက္ကံ အကဏှအသုက္ကဝိပါကံ ကမ္မက္ခယာယ သံဝတ္တတိ? သမ္မာဒိဋ္ဌိ …ပေ… သမ္မာသမာဓိ၊ ဣဒံ ဝုစ္စတိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကမ္မံ အကဏှအသုက္ကံ အကဏှအသုက္ကဝိပါကံ ကမ္မက္ခယာယ သံဝတ္တတိ၊

And what are neither dark nor bright deeds with neither dark nor bright results, which lead to the ending of deeds? Right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right samādhi. These are called neither dark nor bright deeds with neither dark nor bright results, which lead to the ending of deeds.

ဣမာနိ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, စတ္တာရိ ကမ္မာနိ မယာ သယံ အဘိညာ သစ္ဆိကတွာ ပဝေဒိတာနီ”တိ၊

These are the four kinds of deeds that I declare, having realized them with my own insight.”
