Ācayagāmisutta

Accumulation

“आचयगामिञ्च वो, भिक्खवे, धम्मं देसेस्सामि अपचयगामिञ्च। तं सुणाथ …पे… कतमो च, भिक्खवे, आचयगामी धम्मो? मिच्छादिट्ठि …पे… मिच्छाविमुत्ति—अयं वुच्चति, भिक्खवे, आचयगामी धम्मो। कतमो च, भिक्खवे, अपचयगामी धम्मो? सम्मादिट्ठि …पे… सम्माविमुत्ति—अयं वुच्चति, भिक्खवे, अपचयगामी धम्मो”ति।

“Ācayagāmiñca vo, bhikkhave, dhammaṁ desessāmi apacayagāmiñca. Taṁ suṇātha …pe… katamo ca, bhikkhave, ācayagāmī dhammo? Micchādiṭṭhi …pe… micchāvimutti—ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, ācayagāmī dhammo. Katamo ca, bhikkhave, apacayagāmī dhammo? Sammādiṭṭhi …pe… sammāvimutti—ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, apacayagāmī dhammo”ti.

“I will teach you the principle that leads to accumulation and that which leads to dispersal. … And what is the principle that leads to accumulation? Wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, wrong samādhi, wrong knowledge, and wrong freedom. This is called the principle that leads to accumulation. And what is the principle that leads to dispersal? Right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right samādhi, right knowledge, and right freedom. This is called the principle that leads to dispersal.”
