Beneficial
“अत्थञ्च वो, भिक्खवे, देसेस्सामि अनत्थञ्च। तं सुणाथ …पे… कतमो च, भिक्खवे, अनत्थो? पाणातिपातो …पे… मिच्छादिट्ठि—अयं वुच्चति, भिक्खवे, अनत्थो।
“Atthañca vo, bhikkhave, desessāmi anatthañca. Taṁ suṇātha …pe… katamo ca, bhikkhave, anattho? Pāṇātipāto …pe… micchādiṭṭhi—ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, anattho.
“I will teach you the beneficial and the harmful. … And what is the harmful? Killing living creatures … wrong view. This is called the harmful.
कतमो च, भिक्खवे, अत्थो? पाणातिपाता वेरमणी …पे… सम्मादिट्ठि—अयं वुच्चति, भिक्खवे, अत्थो”ति।
Katamo ca, bhikkhave, attho? Pāṇātipātā veramaṇī …pe… sammādiṭṭhi—ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, attho”ti.
And what is the beneficial? Not killing living creatures … right view. This is called the beneficial.”
