သာဝတ္ထိယံ ဝိဟရတိ၊
At Sāvatthī.
“အနမတဂ္ဂေါယံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, သံသာရော၊ ပုဗ္ဗာ ကောဋိ န ပညာယတိ အဝိဇ္ဇာနီဝရဏာနံ သတ္တာနံ တဏှာသံယောဇနာနံ သန္ဓာဝတံ သံသရတံ၊ တံ ကိံ မညထ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကတမံ နု ခေါ ဗဟုတရံ, ယံ ဝါ ဝေါ ဣမိနာ ဒီဃေန အဒ္ဓုနာ သန္ဓာဝတံ သံသရတံ အမနာပသမ္ပယောဂါ မနာပဝိပ္ပယောဂါ ကန္ဒန္တာနံ ရောဒန္တာနံ အဿု ပဿန္နံ ပဂ္ဃရိတံ, ယံ ဝါ စတူသု မဟာသမုဒ္ဒေသု ဥဒကန်”တိ?
“Bhikkhus, transmigration has no known beginning. No first point is found of sentient beings roaming and transmigrating, shrouded by ignorance and fettered by craving. What do you think? Which is more: the flow of tears you’ve shed while roaming and transmigrating for such a very long time—weeping and wailing from being united with the unloved and separated from the loved—or the water in the four oceans?”
“ယထာ ခေါ မယံ, ဘန္တေ, ဘဂဝတာ ဓမ္မံ ဒေသိတံ အာဇာနာမ, ဧတဒေဝ, ဘန္တေ, ဗဟုတရံ ယံ နော ဣမိနာ ဒီဃေန အဒ္ဓုနာ သန္ဓာဝတံ သံသရတံ အမနာပသမ္ပယောဂါ မနာပဝိပ္ပယောဂါ ကန္ဒန္တာနံ ရောဒန္တာနံ အဿု ပဿန္နံ ပဂ္ဃရိတံ, န တွေဝ စတူသု မဟာသမုဒ္ဒေသု ဥဒကန်”တိ၊
“As we understand the Buddha’s teaching, the flow of tears we’ve shed while roaming and transmigrating is more than the water in the four oceans.”
“သာဓု သာဓု, ဘိက္ခဝေ, သာဓု ခေါ မေ တုမှေ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဧဝံ ဓမ္မံ ဒေသိတံ အာဇာနာထ၊ ဧတဒေဝ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဗဟုတရံ ယံ ဝေါ ဣမိနာ ဒီဃေန အဒ္ဓုနာ သန္ဓာဝတံ သံသရတံ အမနာပသမ္ပယောဂါ မနာပဝိပ္ပယောဂါ ကန္ဒန္တာနံ ရောဒန္တာနံ အဿု ပဿန္နံ ပဂ္ဃရိတံ, န တွေဝ စတူသု မဟာသမုဒ္ဒေသု ဥဒကံ၊ ဒီဃရတ္တံ ဝေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, မာတုမရဏံ ပစ္စနုဘူတံ; တေသံ ဝေါ မာတုမရဏံ ပစ္စနုဘောန္တာနံ အမနာပသမ္ပယောဂါ မနာပဝိပ္ပယောဂါ ကန္ဒန္တာနံ ရောဒန္တာနံ အဿု ပဿန္နံ ပဂ္ဃရိတံ, န တွေဝ စတူသု မဟာသမုဒ္ဒေသု ဥဒကံ၊ ဒီဃရတ္တံ ဝေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပိတုမရဏံ ပစ္စနုဘူတံ …ပေ… ဘာတုမရဏံ ပစ္စနုဘူတံ … ဘဂိနိမရဏံ ပစ္စနုဘူတံ … ပုတ္တမရဏံ ပစ္စနုဘူတံ … ဓီတုမရဏံ ပစ္စနုဘူတံ … ဉာတိဗျသနံ ပစ္စနုဘူတံ … ဘောဂဗျသနံ ပစ္စနုဘူတံ၊ ဒီဃရတ္တံ ဝေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ရောဂဗျသနံ ပစ္စနုဘူတံ, တေသံ ဝေါ ရောဂဗျသနံ ပစ္စနုဘောန္တာနံ အမနာပသမ္ပယောဂါ မနာပဝိပ္ပယောဂါ ကန္ဒန္တာနံ ရောဒန္တာနံ အဿု ပဿန္နံ ပဂ္ဃရိတံ, န တွေဝ စတူသု မဟာသမုဒ္ဒေသု ဥဒကံ၊
“Good, good, bhikkhus! It’s good that you understand my teaching like this. The flow of tears you’ve shed while roaming and transmigrating is indeed more than the water in the four oceans. For a long time you’ve undergone the death of a mother … father … brother … sister … son … daughter … loss of relatives … loss of wealth … or loss through illness. From being united with the unloved and separated from the loved, the flow of tears you’ve shed while roaming and transmigrating is indeed more than the water in the four oceans.
တံ ကိဿ ဟေတု? အနမတဂ္ဂေါယံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, သံသာရော …ပေ… ယာဝဉ္စိဒံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အလမေဝ သဗ္ဗသင်္ခါရေသု နိဗ္ဗိန္ဒိတုံ, အလံ ဝိရဇ္ဇိတုံ, အလံ ဝိမုစ္စိတုန်”တိ၊
Why is that? Transmigration has no known beginning. … This is quite enough for you to become disillusioned, dispassionate, and freed regarding all conditions.”
