အရက္ခိတသုတ္တ
Unprotected
အထ ခေါ အနာထပိဏ္ဍိကော ဂဟပတိ ယေန ဘဂဝါ တေနုပသင်္ကမိ; ဥပသင်္ကမိတွာ ဘဂဝန္တံ အဘိဝါဒေတွာ ဧကမန္တံ နိသီဒိ၊ ဧကမန္တံ နိသိန္နံ ခေါ အနာထပိဏ္ဍိကံ ဂဟပတိံ ဘဂဝါ ဧတဒဝေါစ:
Then the householder Anāthapiṇḍika went up to the Buddha, bowed, and sat down to one side. The Buddha said to him:
“စိတ္တေ, ဂဟပတိ, အရက္ခိတေ ကာယကမ္မမ္ပိ အရက္ခိတံ ဟောတိ, ဝစီကမ္မမ္ပိ အရက္ခိတံ ဟောတိ, မနောကမ္မမ္ပိ အရက္ခိတံ ဟောတိ၊ တဿ အရက္ခိတကာယကမ္မန္တဿ အရက္ခိတဝစီကမ္မန္တဿ အရက္ခိတမနောကမ္မန္တဿ ကာယကမ္မမ္ပိ အဝဿုတံ ဟောတိ, ဝစီကမ္မမ္ပိ အဝဿုတံ ဟောတိ, မနောကမ္မမ္ပိ အဝဿုတံ ဟောတိ၊ တဿ အဝဿုတကာယကမ္မန္တဿ အဝဿုတဝစီကမ္မန္တဿ အဝဿုတမနောကမ္မန္တဿ ကာယကမ္မမ္ပိ ပူတိကံ ဟောတိ, ဝစီကမ္မမ္ပိ ပူတိကံ ဟောတိ, မနောကမ္မမ္ပိ ပူတိကံ ဟောတိ၊ တဿ ပူတိကာယကမ္မန္တဿ ပူတိဝစီကမ္မန္တဿ ပူတိမနောကမ္မန္တဿ န ဘဒ္ဒကံ မရဏံ ဟောတိ, န ဘဒ္ဒိကာ ကာလကိရိယာ၊
“Householder, when the mind is unprotected, deeds of body, speech, and mind are unprotected. When deeds are unprotected, they become corrupted. When deeds are corrupted, they become rotten. Someone whose deeds of body, speech, and mind are rotten will not have a good death.
သေယျထာပိ, ဂဟပတိ, ကူဋာဂါရေ ဒုစ္ဆန္နေ ကူဋမ္ပိ အရက္ခိတံ ဟောတိ, ဂေါပါနသိယောပိ အရက္ခိတာ ဟောန္တိ, ဘိတ္တိပိ အရက္ခိတာ ဟောတိ; ကူဋမ္ပိ အဝဿုတံ ဟောတိ, ဂေါပါနသိယောပိ အဝဿုတာ ဟောန္တိ, ဘိတ္တိပိ အဝဿုတာ ဟောတိ; ကူဋမ္ပိ ပူတိကံ ဟောတိ, ဂေါပါနသိယောပိ ပူတိကာ ဟောန္တိ, ဘိတ္တိပိ ပူတိကာ ဟောတိ၊
It’s like a bungalow with a bad roof. The roof peak, rafters, and walls are unprotected. They get soaked, and become rotten.
ဧဝမေဝံ ခေါ, ဂဟပတိ, စိတ္တေ အရက္ခိတေ ကာယကမ္မမ္ပိ အရက္ခိတံ ဟောတိ, ဝစီကမ္မမ္ပိ အရက္ခိတံ ဟောတိ, မနောကမ္မမ္ပိ အရက္ခိတံ ဟောတိ၊ တဿ အရက္ခိတကာယကမ္မန္တဿ အရက္ခိတဝစီကမ္မန္တဿ အရက္ခိတမနောကမ္မန္တဿ ကာယကမ္မမ္ပိ အဝဿုတံ ဟောတိ, ဝစီကမ္မမ္ပိ အဝဿုတံ ဟောတိ, မနောကမ္မမ္ပိ အဝဿုတံ ဟောတိ၊ တဿ အဝဿုတကာယကမ္မန္တဿ အဝဿုတဝစီကမ္မန္တဿ အဝဿုတမနောကမ္မန္တဿ ကာယကမ္မမ္ပိ ပူတိကံ ဟောတိ, ဝစီကမ္မမ္ပိ ပူတိကံ ဟောတိ, မနောကမ္မမ္ပိ ပူတိကံ ဟောတိ၊ တဿ ပူတိကာယကမ္မန္တဿ ပူတိဝစီကမ္မန္တဿ ပူတိမနောကမ္မန္တဿ န ဘဒ္ဒကံ မရဏံ ဟောတိ, န ဘဒ္ဒိကာ ကာလကိရိယာ၊
In the same way, when the mind is unprotected, bodily, verbal, and mental deeds are unprotected. … Someone whose deeds of body, speech, and mind are rotten will not have a good death.
စိတ္တေ, ဂဟပတိ, ရက္ခိတေ ကာယကမ္မမ္ပိ ရက္ခိတံ ဟောတိ, ဝစီကမ္မမ္ပိ ရက္ခိတံ ဟောတိ, မနောကမ္မမ္ပိ ရက္ခိတံ ဟောတိ၊ တဿ ရက္ခိတကာယကမ္မန္တဿ ရက္ခိတဝစီကမ္မန္တဿ ရက္ခိတမနောကမ္မန္တဿ ကာယကမ္မမ္ပိ အနဝဿုတံ ဟောတိ, ဝစီကမ္မမ္ပိ အနဝဿုတံ ဟောတိ, မနောကမ္မမ္ပိ အနဝဿုတံ ဟောတိ၊ တဿ အနဝဿုတကာယကမ္မန္တဿ အနဝဿုတဝစီကမ္မန္တဿ အနဝဿုတမနောကမ္မန္တဿ ကာယကမ္မမ္ပိ အပူတိကံ ဟောတိ, ဝစီကမ္မမ္ပိ အပူတိကံ ဟောတိ, မနောကမ္မမ္ပိ အပူတိကံ ဟောတိ၊ တဿ အပူတိကာယကမ္မန္တဿ အပူတိဝစီကမ္မန္တဿ အပူတိမနောကမ္မန္တဿ ဘဒ္ဒကံ မရဏံ ဟောတိ, ဘဒ္ဒိကာ ကာလကိရိယာ၊
When the mind is protected, bodily, verbal, and mental deeds are protected. When deeds are protected, they don’t become corrupted. When deeds aren’t corrupted, they don’t become rotten. Someone whose deeds of body, speech, and mind aren’t rotten will have a good death.
