“पञ्चिमानि, भिक्खवे, इन्द्रियानि भावितानि बहुलीकतानि अनुसयसमुग्घाताय संवत्तन्ति। कतमानि पञ्च? सद्धिन्द्रियं …पे… पञ्ञिन्द्रियं—इमानि खो, भिक्खवे, पञ्चिन्द्रियानि भावितानि बहुलीकतानि अनुसयसमुग्घाताय संवत्तन्ती”ति।

“Pañcimāni, bhikkhave, indriyāni bhāvitāni bahulīkatāni anusayasamugghātāya saṁvattanti. Katamāni pañca? Saddhindriyaṁ …pe… paññindriyaṁ—imāni kho, bhikkhave, pañcindriyāni bhāvitāni bahulīkatāni anusayasamugghātāya saṁvattantī”ti.

“Bhikkhus, when these five faculties are developed and cultivated they lead to uprooting the underlying tendencies. What five? The faculties of faith, energy, mindfulness, samādhi, and wisdom. When these five faculties are developed and cultivated they lead to uprooting the underlying tendencies.”
