The Fruit of Non-Return

“ඡ, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේ අප්පහාය අභබ්බෝ අනාගාමිඵලං සච්ඡිකාතුං. කතමේ ඡ? අස්සද්ධියං, අහිරිකං, අනෝත්තප්පං, කෝසජ්ජං, මුට්ඨස්සච්චං, දුප්පඤ්ඤතං—ඉමේ ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, ඡ ධම්මේ අප්පහාය අභබ්බෝ අනාගාමිඵලං සච්ඡිකාතුං.

“Bhikkhus, without giving up six things you can’t realize the fruit of non-return. What six? Lack of faith, conscience, and prudence; laziness, unmindfulness, and witlessness. Without giving up these six things you can’t realize the fruit of non-return.

ඡ, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේ පහාය භබ්බෝ අනාගාමිඵලං සච්ඡිකාතුං. කතමේ ඡ? අස්සද්ධියං, අහිරිකං, අනෝත්තප්පං, කෝසජ්ජං, මුට්ඨස්සච්චං, දුප්පඤ්ඤතං—ඉමේ ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, ඡ ධම්මේ පහාය භබ්බෝ අනාගාමිඵලං සච්ඡිකාතුන්”ති.

After giving up six things you can realize the fruit of non-return. What six? Lack of faith, conscience, and prudence; laziness, unmindfulness, and witlessness. After giving up these six things you can realize the fruit of non-return.”
