Saṇamānasutta

Whispering

“ठिते मज्झन्हिके काले, सन्निसीवेसु पक्खिसु; सणतेव ब्रहारञ्ञं, तं भयं पटिभाति मन्”ति।

“Ṭhite majjhanhike1 kāle, sannisīvesu pakkhisu; Saṇateva2 brahāraññaṁ, taṁ bhayaṁ paṭibhāti man”ti.

“In the still of high noon, when the birds have settled down, the formidable jungle whispers to itself: that seems so scary to me!”
