सावत्थिनिदानं।
Sāvatthinidānaṁ.
At Sāvatthī.
“यो खो, भिक्खवे, चक्खुविञ्ञाणस्स उप्पादो ठिति …पे… जरामरणस्स पातुभावो …पे… यो मनोविञ्ञाणस्स उप्पादो ठिति …पे… जरामरणस्स पातुभावो। यो च खो, भिक्खवे, चक्खुविञ्ञाणस्स निरोधो …पे… जरामरणस्स अत्थङ्गमो …पे… यो मनोविञ्ञाणस्स निरोधो …पे… जरामरणस्स अत्थङ्गमो”ति।
“Yo kho, bhikkhave, cakkhuviññāṇassa uppādo ṭhiti …pe… jarāmaraṇassa pātubhāvo …pe… yo manoviññāṇassa uppādo ṭhiti …pe… jarāmaraṇassa pātubhāvo. Yo ca kho, bhikkhave, cakkhuviññāṇassa nirodho …pe… jarāmaraṇassa atthaṅgamo …pe… yo manoviññāṇassa nirodho …pe… jarāmaraṇassa atthaṅgamo”ti.
“Bhikkhus, the arising of eye consciousness … mind consciousness … is the manifestation of old age and death. The cessation of eye consciousness … mind consciousness … is the ending of old age and death.”
