“ธมฺมานุธมฺมปฺปฏิปนฺนสฺส, ภิกฺขเว, ภิกฺขุโน อยมนุธมฺโม โหติ
“Bhikkhus, when a bhikkhu is practicing in line with the teachings, this is what’s in line with the teachings.
ยํ รูเป นิพฺพิทาพหุโล วิหเรยฺย, เวทนาย นิพฺพิทาพหุโล วิหเรยฺย, สญฺญาย นิพฺพิทาพหุโล วิหเรยฺย, สงฺขาเรสุ นิพฺพิทาพหุโล วิหเรยฺย, วิญฺญาเณ นิพฺพิทาพหุโล วิหเรยฺยฯ โย รูเป นิพฺพิทาพหุโล วิหรนฺโต, เวทนาย … สญฺญาย … สงฺขาเรสุ นิพฺพิทาพหุโล วิหรนฺโต, วิญฺญาเณ นิพฺพิทาพหุโล วิหรนฺโต รูปํ ปริชานาติ, เวทนํ … สญฺญํ … สงฺขาเร … วิญฺญาณํ ปริชานาติ, โส รูปํ ปริชานํ, เวทนํ … สญฺญํ … สงฺขาเร … วิญฺญาณํ ปริชานํ ปริมุจฺจติ รูปมฺหา, ปริมุจฺจติ เวทนาย, ปริมุจฺจติ สญฺญาย, ปริมุจฺจติ สงฺขาเรหิ, ปริมุจฺจติ วิญฺญาณมฺหา, ปริมุจฺจติ ชาติยา ชรามรเณน โสเกหิ ปริเทเวหิ ทุกฺเขหิ โทมนเสฺสหิ อุปายาเสหิ, ปริมุจฺจติ ทุกฺขสฺมาติ วทามี”ติฯ
They should live full of disillusionment for form, feeling, perception, functioning patterns, and consciousness. Living in this way, they completely understand form, feeling, perception, functioning patterns, and consciousness. Completely understanding form, feeling, perception, functioning patterns, and consciousness, they’re freed from these things. They’re freed from rebirth, old age, and death, from sorrow, lamentation, pain, sadness, and distress. They’re freed from suffering, I say.”
