Vaginal discharge
Vaginal discharge is a form of Mucopurulent discharge from the vagina.
It can be indicative of pelvic inflammatory disease, which is associated with Neisseria gonorrhoeae or Chlamydia. Along with discharge, the woman suffering from PID will also complain of lower abdominal tenderness, bilateral adnexal tenderness and cervical motion tenderness.
The pH can help identify the cause:
low pH: candidal vulvovaginitis high pH: bacterial vaginosis or trichomoniasis
