Uitgeest railway station
Uitgeest is a railway station located in Uitgeest and the village of Assum, the Netherlands. It is on Staatslijn K and the branch Uitgeest - Haarlem.
History
The station opened 1 May 1867. It lies on the Staatslijn K, from Den Helder to Amsterdam. A new station building was opened in 2006. The station has 3 platforms.
Train Services in 2007
The timetable change in December 2006 brought new services to Uitgeest.
Sprinter 4000 - Uitgeest - Zaandam - Amsterdam - Gouda - Rotterdam, A Sprinter service 2x per hour, calling at all stations on the way. Previous service was an hourly Amsterdam - Gouda - Rotterdam service. Uitgeest and the other stoptrain stations up to Koog-Bloemwijk and the stations (except Amsterdam Amstel and Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA) Amsterdam Muiderpoort and Duivendrecht lost the direct connection to Utrecht, using the Rhijnspoorweg. Sprinter 4700 - Uitgeest - Zaandam - Amsterdam. Service extended to Amersfoort Vathorst (during the Week, day times). At Weekends and Evenings the service only runs from Amsterdam Amstel to Amersfoort.
Train Services from 14 December 2008
The timetable change in December 2008 will bring new services to Uitgeest. However some will be taken away.
Sprinter 4000 - will be cut back to Amsterdam Centraal - Gouda - Rotterdam, 2x per hour Sprinter 4700 - replacement for the 4000, Uitgeest - Zaandam - Amsterdam - Weesp - Almere, 2x per hour
