'SUP Magazine

’SUP Magazine is a bi-annual music magazine and website started by Marisa Brickman in 1998 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The magazine re-located to New York City in 2000 and now has staff around the world with offices in New York City and London. ’SUP is distributed in Los Angeles, NYC, London, Paris, Berlin and Brussels through a network of specialty record stores and fashion boutiques. In 2004, ’SUP began working with NYC-based design agency An Art Service, who are now responsible for the creative direction of the magazine.

’SUP Magazine intimately documents music and each edition is a digest of what is happening in music at the time. All interviews in the print edition are Q&A style, and every photograph is commissioned exclusively for ’SUP. Having been one of the first publications to interview DFA Records, The Rapture, The Shins and Bloc Party – the magazine recognizes talent long before it hits the mainstream.

’SUP has been featured and reviewed in a wide variety of music, style and trend publications. The ’SUP staff appeared in an article in Visionaire Magazine’s Issue 37 as an indie publishing powerhouse, and has been reviewed on Coolhunting.com, in Anthem Magazine, Computer Arts Magazine and several other blogs.
