Panelist
A panelist is a member of a panel. The role a panelist plays depends upon the duties of the panel.
A panelist can be a member of a committee or in legal arenas, a jury. In the Westminster system, it can be a member of a Select committee or a Standing committee.
On television, panelists participate in discussions led by a program's moderator or presenter. Examples of shows, past and present, utilizing this format include Talk/Chat shows such as Australia's ''The Panel'', Ireland's ''The Panel'', ''Fast Money'', ''Around the Horn'' Panel game shows such as Canada's Love Me, Love Me Not'', ''Figure It Out'', ''I've Got a Secret'', and ''Match Game'' Public affairs programming such as ''This Week'' and ''The McLaughlin Group''.
Radio shows such as Wait Wait… Don't Tell Me! and Stop Me If You've Heard This One also feature panelists.
