MAMA

MAMA is a publicly funded visual arts and culture organisation based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. As its name implies, MAMA fosters and exhibits contemporary artworks executed in a wide variety of media including visual installations, film, video, automata, but not excluding 'traditional' forms such as painting. A number of its projects and programmes are rooted in popular digital, video, club and street culture.

In addition to programming exhibitions in its own project space on Rotterdam's culture street, Witte de Withstraat, MAMA runs a full programme of educational and extension events, undertakes research projects and develops new ways of working with a range of audiences and communities through visual arts and culture. MAMA is a founder member of StabilityMobility, a pan-European artist-led consortium.
