Magnetic pole
A magnetic pole may refer to: One of the two ends of a magnet. The poles of astronomical bodies, a special case of magnets, two special cases of which are the Geomagnetic poles: The North Magnetic Pole of planet Earth, to which the north end of a compass points. The South Magnetic Pole of planet Earth, to which the south end of a compass points. See also: Earth's magnetic field.
