Katherine Curtis

Katherine Curtis is an anchor, segment producer, and writer with the internet news program Naked News. She grew up in Ontario, Canada and as a teenager "tended to shy away from social situations with her peers, preferring instead the company of Oscar Wilde, punk rock, dystopian literature and Marvel comics." She moved to Toronto, took up modeling and make up work until her audition with Naked News led to her current position. Since joining the staff on January 2, 2008, She has anchored all segments on the program, and seems to enjoy the challenges of her job. She has said that "I’ve got the skills but I don’t have the paper saying that I have the skills to back it up. So they took a chance on me … to have a place where people aren’t looking down on me for being naked is wonderful. I honestly can see myself as an executive producer here one day." Naked News has chosen her to represent the show's anchors during the launch events for the Mexican and Korean versions of the show and on the The Dean Blundell Show.

On April 24, 2008 Naked News began a new segment called "The Naked Nerd" which is created, written and anchored by Curtis. The segment deals with areas of interest to geeks and nerds, such as comic books, computer games, science fiction, and role playing games. In addition to presenting news and opinion on these areas, she has interviewed artists, actors, and writers.
