Padmāsana (The Lotus)

The Attention

While learning the posture the attention follows the motion. After mastering the posture, the attention focuses according to the technique the lotus pose is associated to.

The Technique

• Sit down on the floor.
• Stretch your legs.
• Hold the left foot with both hands.
• Slip the right hand under the foot and hold the heel.
• Gently twist the heel upwards and place the foot on the right thigh.
• Do the same with the right foot and place it on the left thigh.
• Straighten the vertebral column. Hold the position.
