Educational Records Bureau

Educational Records Bureau (ERB) is a non-profit educational service organization meeting the student assessment needs of over 1500 independent school and suburban public school members since 1927.

ERB is located in New York City, with operations offices at Educational Testing Service in Princeton, New Jersey, and Measurement, Inc. in Durham, North Carolina. Members include independent schools from 46 states and 42 countries and suburban public school districts from every region of the country.

Membership

ERB has no predetermined requirements for membership other than state and/or regional association accreditation.

Goals

ERB is committed to: Developing improved methods of testing student achievement
Reporting and interpreting individual and group test results to member schools
Supporting strong linkages among students, the curriculum, and assessment practices, through staff workshops and consultations with educators and measurement specialists

ERB also conducts a testing program for all students seeking admission to independent schools in the greater New York City area, New York City Admission Testing (ISAAGNY)
