Actinidia polygama
Actinidia polygama (also known as the Silver Vine), is a plant of the family Actinidiaceae.. It ranges from East Asia to China and Japan. The scented flowers are dioecious and are pollinated by bees and other insects. Its habitat is mainly woodlands and hedges in mountains throughout Japan.
Due to contained substances, the leaves of actinidia polygama are very attractive to cats and are especially useful as a sedative for lions (e.g. in zoos).
The leaves of actinidia polygama can be roasted and mixed with tea, as well.
