Access code

An access code is a sequence of characters and/or numbers that allow access to a secure service. Access codes are often used in security systems to permit entry.

Why do we need access code?

Access code are used to prevent unauthorized access to tools, informations, and resources. The following are a list of examples of why we need access code:

Commercial Organization

Access code are often used in Commercial Organization to keep project details confidential. This allows the organization to be competitive amongst other organization.

Some organization use subversion. And they usually set control access such that they can prevent unauthorized user/organization from accessing their project's details.

Resource access

Keeps unauthorized users from accessing resources. For example, online resources provided by the University of Toronto is only accessible by people who has a valid UTORid (such as students and staffs).

Banking

Access code are given to bank customers. The bank customer can use their access code to gain access to their banking information. They can also use the access code gain privilege to withdrawal, deposit, and transfer of their assets. This can prevent unauthorized usage of a banking card to either gain personal information, or assets.
