Acanthocereus tetragonus

Acanthocereus tetragonus, the barbed-wire cactus, is a species of cactus native to the southernmost United States south through Central America and the Caribbean to Venezuela. It was originally described by Carl Linnaeus in 1753 but later moved to the genus Acanthocereus in 1938 by Pieter Wagenaar Hummelinck.
