19th Airlift Squadron
The 19th Airlift Squadron (19 AS) was most recently part of the 60th Air Mobility Wing at Travis Air Force Base, California. It operated C-12 Huron and C-21 aircraft providing executive airlift.
History
The 19th conducted aerial transportation in the Hawaiian Islands and to forward bases in the Pacific during World War II, during the Berlin Airlift from, July-August 1948, and between Japan and Korea from, 10 June 1952-27 July 1953. It provided intratheater airlift for high-ranking Pacific Air Forces and civilian officials and small mission-essential equipment from, 1984-1993.
